How To Shop Online

How to register

You will need to register before you can place an order or set up a wishlist online. Once registered you can store up to five different delivery addresses and check your order history. You can also request regular updates of new product ranges and special offers.

Registering couldn't be simpler. Just fill out our registration form with your personal details, choose a password and that's it. Then your shopping basket and wishlist will be saved each time you return and log in to your account on the website. To log in, simply enter your email address and password on the login page. If you have selected 'Remember Me' when you register you will be automatically logged in when you return.

Browsing and searching

We aim to make shopping online with The Pier as simple and quick as possible. Here's how to shop easily:

  • You'll find the main department navigation bar at the top of the screen directly under our logo.

  • Click on any department name and you'll go to a new page containing all the product categories in that area.

  • You can either use the menu on the left hand side or the category images in the centre of the page to see all the products available.

  • There may be further filters in the left hand menu to get you quickly to the products you're looking for.

  • To search

  • The search box is at the top of the screen above the navigation bar.

  • Our search engine will check your search term against all the product titles, descriptions and codes currently on our website. It will then show you all the products that match your query.

  • You can use a broad search term such as 'chair' or be more specific with 'dining chair' or 'Papasan Chair'. The more detailed your search term, the easier and quicker it is to find what you're looking for.

  • Alternatively, use our advanced search to look in specific categories or within price ranges.

  • If you prefer, we have a product A to Z index. You'll find it at the bottom of the web page.

  • Shopping basket

    The shopping basket is a simple way of collecting all the products you want to buy and keeping them in one place until you go to the checkout.

  • A summary of your basket is found at the top right corner of the screen.

  • Use this to check the number of items and their values at any time during your shopping.

  • To see details of the products you've selected, just click on 'View Basket'.

  • If you want to change the quantity of items in your basket, remove products or apply a promotional discount code, you can do this on the shopping basket page.
  • Using your promotional discount code

    You can use your promotional discount when placing an order by typing in the code on the shopping basket page. If for some reason you find that the discount hasn't applied please call our Customer Service team on 0845 609 1234.

    Please note that promotional discount codes can only be used to buy full-priced items. Discounts do not apply to furniture sets, delivery charges, charity related items or gift vouchers.

    Payment options

    We accept Visa; MasterCard; Delta; Maestro; Electron and American Express. If you wish to use Gift Vouchers to pay for all or part of your order or if you wish to pay by cheque or postal order, please contact our Customer Service team on 0845 609 1234 who will be happy to place an order for you.

    Using the checkout

    Once your basket has everything you want to buy you can go to the checkout.

  • Click on the 'Checkout' link in your basket, or in the top right corner of your screen.

  • If you are already logged in you can go straight to the checkout to choose a delivery address and pay for your items.

  • If you are a registered customer, but have not logged in then simply enter your email address and password on the login page.

  • If you are not yet a registered customer, you will be asked to register before placing your order. Just follow the instructions; it only takes a couple of minutes.

  • At the checkout, you can review your order, change details, select a delivery address and provide your payment details.

  • When you're ready to complete your order, click 'Confirm' and wait for an acknowledgement.

  • You will receive a confirmation email shortly after placing your order.
